For the sake of this article, vinyl sided wood sheds being referenced are built according to generally accepted housing standards (wall studs 16” on center, 30 yr. roof shingles, etc). Not cheap wood buildings that are susceptible to rot and decay or being blown over in the next wind storm.

Brick sheds may be built with a wooden frame and then clad in brick or, in rare instances, be built of nothing but brick with a timber roof. In either case, they can be customized or finished in a wide variety of ways. Brick is expensive to work with, even with a wooden frame, so expect to pay about $24,000 on average.

We purchased a pergola at Recreation Unlimited in June of 2019. There were repeated delays, and we finally got the pergola constructed in September. This year, on returning from our winter home, we found several issues with the pergola - the wood was not properly treated, the holes not pre-drilled properly, there are large cracks and splits in the entire structure. I keep hearing that the problem is with the company from which R.U. obtained the wood. I don't care, really, I gave my money to R.U. and they have yet to make this good. The problem was reported in March, and it is now mid-August. Attorney is our next step. Very frustrating!
Many homeowners build wood storage sheds. A proper site must be selected. The topsoil is removed, and a foundation of gravel or concrete is installed and leveled. The shed is built on the foundation per the plans.

My dad is extremely “particular” when it comes to construction as he usually does the work himself. He is SO impressed with the craftsmanship!Thank you again for all of your help. Working with you guys has been wonderful.
