Do you need a storage shed for tools, garden accessories, family heirlooms, crafting supplies, collectibles, farm/livestock purposes, or just general “life overflow”? Do you need a safe storage space for your ATV, motorcycle, or mower? Do you need a “man cave,” “she shed,” or extra home office space? No matter the reason for your purchase now, as your needs shift or change over time, the functionality of the shed can also easily change. Your storage space. Your choices. Your current and future needs, met. Start designing your custom pre-built storage sheds, storage barns, wood garages, or playhouses today.
There are many advantages to using wood as the main structural component of a shed. Wood is one of the strongest building materials (it’s probably what your home is made of). It’s a renewable resource that has been and will be used in construction for a long time. .
Keep in mind that construction for a custom shed is more complicated than a prefabricated shed. A prefab shed comes with instructions and measured materials. With a custom design, you start from scratch –– you need to make all design plans and measurements yourself, and you need to ensure your design meets safety standards.
One of the largest sheds we build for homeowners, this jumbo structure is very close to being the size of a garage! In most cases, this shed is used as a home workshop or as a place for serious outdoor equipment, like ATVs, jet skis, snow plows, trailers, or even a small boat.

Then there’s the floor, it is as sturdy as they come and specifically designed to absorb all the use, abuse and impact that comes its way. That alone makes this the perfect for tractors, lawnmowers, lawn edgers and other heavy pieces of equipment you can muster up. Another stand out aspect here is the all-around design, there are aspects of it that are so intricate and well-thought-out. For instance, this structure is aptly fitted with a number of skylights and windows which allow for the right amount of natural light to find its way in. There’s also the addition to lockable doors that are put in place to keep your valuables safe.
The quality of the shed is incredible. Jackie Santucci was a joy to work with, and the delivery couldn't have been easier. I would highly recommend Recreation Unlimited to anyone!

We can’t tell you how many of our customers were in search of a quality replacement shed for what they had originally bought as a temporary fix. If you think a solid wood shed is out of your budget, you may be surprised! Rent to own options make buying high-quality sheds affordable for just about everyone.
If you have an older shed with masonite siding or older asbestos flooring or insulation, you will not be able to tear this down on your own. You need to call in an asbestos abatement team. The cost of this project largely depends on where the asbestos is located and how much there is. Expect costs to start at $500.
Pricing varies from model to model between Tuff Shed and Heartland Sheds. It seemed to me that the price of a Tuff Shed installed was about 30% more than an equivalent Heartland Shed bought as a DIY kit. (Don’t forget, you also have to buy the roof shingles for the Heartland Shed separately. However, buying shingles for your Heartland Shed isn’t necessarily expensive.)
The workshop shed provides plenty of space for your backyard or outdoor life at a great price. A 10×14 standard garden shed starts around $3,116
“Storage units are routinely sprayed for bugs, eliminating the reason to fear that bugs many contaminate your belongings,” Rachmany explains.
Either way, be sure to ensure that your shed has a firm surface to depend on altogether. In all this, note that the foundation picked is directly related to the type of shed you purchase. So, it's probably wise to build the foundation after the shed kit has been acquired. Even better is the fact that some shed manufacturers actually include some handy information on how to lay the foundation that is unique to your shed.
Equally, it is advisable to gauge the level of your handiness because different types of sheds require different levels of expertise. For instance, wood sheds need carpentry skills as well as the tools of the trade. Meanwhile, their metal and plastic counterparts need basic ‘slide and lock’ building skills.
Most of our buildings are delivered in just 2 to 4 weeks! We even have many sheds in stock for immediate delivery.
Even the plastic is designed and specifically chosen. The plastic that sheds are built from is different to shopping bag plastic or drink bottle plastic. It is a high density, quite hard and also UV resistant plastic specifically designed for outdoor use.
